BERKELEY - Cal TB Jahvid Best spoke to the media following the Golden Bears' practice at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, November 18. Other than a brief pre-game broadcast television interview with Versus prior to Cal's game against Arizona last Saturday, the media session was the first time Best has spoken to the media since he was injured in a Nov. 7 game vs. Oregon State. Best has not played in a game or practiced since suffering the injury that required medical personnel to attend to him on the field before he was transported to Highland General Hospital. He stayed overnight at the hospital before being released on Sunday. CT scans and x-rays came back normal. No timetable has been set for his return to games or practices. Following are selected comments of what Best had to say on Wednesday. On how scared he was when he saw what happened on tape "Again, I was pretty calm when I saw it. It was an unfortunate incident, but it didn't look too bad to me." On whether he's allowed himself to plan beyond this Saturday's game at Stanford, which he will miss
On whether he is back to normal on the Baseline Concussion Test On whether he was surprised about the reaction to his injury across the country On the concern for his welfare
On whether he rethinks football after the injury
On how much he's followed concussions
