BERKELEY - Marc Anthony has been named an honorable mention national Defensive Back Performer of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards for his performance against Stanford last Saturday. Anthony earned the same honor earlier in the year for his performance against Nevada.

Anthony had his second interception of the season at the Cal seven yard-line to end a Stanford drive in a 21-3 loss to the Cardinal last Saturday, while also recording a forced fumble, a pass breakup and 1.0 tackle for loss (-1 yard) among his six tackles.

Anthony has played in all eight games with seven starts for the Bears in 2012, recording 40 tackles and co-leading the team with 6.5 tackles for loss (-17 yards). He has also added two interceptions that he has returned for a team-high 64 yards and its only touchdown, three pass breakups and one forced fumble. Anthony has played in 38 career games with 29 starts and is Cal's active career leader with 96 interception return yards; tied for first with one interception return touchdown; second with 126 tackles, five interceptions, 21 pass breakups and 26 passes defended; tied for second with two forced fumbles; and third with 12.0 tackles for loss (-27 yards).

Cal (3-5, 2-3 Pac-12) will next visit Utah (2-5, 0-4 Pac-12) this Saturday, Oct. 27. The game will be televised by Pac-12 Networks and is scheduled to kick off at 7:45 p.m. MT/6:45 p.m. PT.

All Cal football games are also broadcast on the Cal IMG Sports Radio Network, with KGO 810 AM in San Francisco serving as the flagship station, as well as online at CalBears.com.

In addition to the game at Utah, the Bears play at No. 8 AP/No. 8 USA Today/No. 11 BCS Oregon State (Nov. 17, TBA) in the regular-season finale.

Games remaining on Cal's 2012 regular-season home schedule at Memorial Stadium include a Friday night contest vs. Washington (Nov. 2, 6 p.m. PT, ESPN2) and the regular-season home finale against No. 2 AP/No. 2 USA Today/No. 3 BCS Oregon (Nov. 10, TBA).

The Cal-Washington contest is a Gold Out game as all fans are encouraged to wear gold. Tickets start at just $25 for youth and seniors and can be purchased at CalBears.com.
