BERKELEY - Cal fans are invited to come out and celebrate Big Game week with two rallies happening this week on campus. The first rally, the Big Game Night Rally, takes place at 8 p.m. at Bowles Hall on Thursday, Oct. 18. On Friday, Oct. 19, the official Big Game rally will take place at 9 p.m. at Edwards Stadium with doors opening at 8 p.m.On Thursday night, Cal fans will march around campus, getting everyone into the spirit of the historic Bay Area rivalry between Cal and Stanford. The Cal Band, cheer team, dance team and the mic men will be leading the way. The rally will start at Bowles Hall and will travel over Piedmont, down to the Units, and finally will end on Lower Sproul. Fans are invited to join in the parade. On Friday, the week concludes with the Big Game Rally. This year's Big Game Rally will feature a pyrotechnic show. Guests speakers at the rally include Cal radio play-by-play announcer Joe Starkey, Chancellor Robert Birgeneau, all the Cal Spirit groups and many other student groups.
