Sept. 20, 2012
BERKELEY - Cal head coach Jeff Tedford is scheduled to be interviewed Thursday on the Max & Marcellus Show at 3:15 p.m. PT on ESPN LA 710 AM. The show's hosts are Max Kellerman and former NFL start and ESPN analyst Marcellus Wiley. Tedford is in 11th season at Cal in 2012 and is the winningest coach in school history with an all-time record of 80-50 (.615). Cal has played in a bowl game eight of the last nine seasons and won enough games to be bowl eligible in nine of Tedford's first 10 campaigns on campus. He has also won a school-record five bowl games, while equaling the legendary Pappy Waldorf's school mark with seven Big Game wins. Cal (1-2, 0-0 Pac-12) will travel to USC (2-1, 0-1 Pac-12) to face the Trojans in its 2012 Pac-12 opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this Saturday, Sept. 22 (3 p.m. PT). USC is the nation's No. 12 ranked team according to USA Today, while AP has USC at No. 13. Both Cal and USC are coming off seven-point road losses last Saturday at Ohio State and Stanford, respectively. Cal's remaining 2012 regular season home games include matchups with Pac-12 foes Arizona State, UCLA, Stanford, Washington and Oregon. In addition to the game at USC, the Golden Bears still play regular season games on the road at Washington State, Utah and Oregon State. Tickets for Cal's return to a renovated Memorial Stadium in 2012 are currently on sale by calling (800) GO BEARS (800-462-3277), online at CalBears.com, or in person at the Sales and Service Center located in the Haas Pavilion Club Room Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. PT.
