BERKELEY - With tens of thousands of fans coming back to Memorial Stadium for the first time in two seasons when the Golden Bears host Nevada Saturday, ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to give themselves plenty of time to explore the renovated facility and be seated before all the events get underway. The traditional March to Victory is scheduled to begin between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. PT on the grand staircase just below the north tunnel at Memorial Stadium. Fans can cheer on the Cal football team during its walk into the locker room for final pregame preparations. Gates to the stadium will open at 10 a.m. - two hours prior to the 12 noon start - offering patrons an opportunity to check out new concession stands, restrooms and other amenities before the action starts. Fans should plan to be seated 30 minutes before kickoff in order to watch a special pregame ribbon cutting ceremony, complete with alumni representatives and flag bearers from each of the University's graduating classes dating back to 1873. A unique presentation on the two new video screens is being produced, and the show will conclude when the Bears run out of the north tunnel for the first time in 2012. In addition, all fans at the game will get a commemorative ticket as a tribute to the first contest of the year in Memorial Stadium.
