June 6, 2007 BERKELEY - Three more California football games have been selected for broadcast, the Pac-10 announced on Wednesday. Fox Sports will televise the Arizona State road game (Oct. 27) and the Washington State home game (Nov. 3) this season. Both games will kickoff at 7 p.m. Versus will broadcast the 110th playing of the Big Game against Stanford on Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. This announcement increases Cal's televised games to a minimum of six, with multiple dates remaining for 12- or six-day selections by the networks. Cal had five games selected for television at this point last year. Eleven contests ended up being aired. Cal's home game with Tennessee (Sept. 1) will be televised nationally by ABC while the USC game (Nov. 10) will be aired nationally by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. Both of those games will kickoff at 5 p.m. In addition, the Colorado State game (Sept. 8) will be aired nationally by College Sports Television. That game will kick off at 11 a.m. (Pacific) from Fort Collins. Game times and television information for other Golden Bear contests will be released when available. In the first five years of head coach Jeff Tedford's tenure, 47 Cal football games have been televised; in the five years prior to that, 30 Cal games were televised. National television broadcasts have more than doubled in that time. The Colorado State game will mark Cal's first game on CSTV while the Stanford game will be Cal's debut on Versus. The 2007 Cal season kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 1 with the Golden Bears hosting Tennessee at memorial Stadium. After the road trip to Colorado State, the Bears return home to face Louisiana Tech in another inter-sectional game on Sept. 15. Season tickets are still available at www.CalBears.com or by calling 1-800-GO-BEARS.
