INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Former Cal tailback C.J. Anderson highlighted his 2013 NFL Combine performance by tying for third among running backs in the 20-yard shuttle in a time of 4.12 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Anderson also ranked among the top performances by running backs at the combine in the 40-yard dash on Sunday, tying for 15th with an official time of 4.60. According to Anderson's twitter account "22 teams clock[ed] me at 4.47 [or] 4.48 hand time." In addition, Anderson participated Sunday in the vertical jump (32.0"), broad jump (119.0") and 3 cone drill (7.15) after bench pressing 225 pounds 17 times Saturday.

Anderson was the second of four former Cal players to complete their performances at the 2013 NFL Combine.

Brian Schwenke wrapped his combine Saturday among the top offensive linemen performers in the 3 cone drill (T2nd, 7.31), 40-yard dash (T6th, 4.99) and bench press (31 reps of 225 pounds). Schwenke also participated in the broad jump (108.0 inches), vertical jump (26.5 inches) and 20-yard shuttle (4.74).

Cornerbacks Marc Anthony and Steve Williams arrived at the combine Saturday and are scheduled to begin their measurable drills with the bench press Monday. Anthony and Williams will go through the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 3 cone drill and 20-yard shuttle on the final day of the combine Tuesday.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen was also at the combine Thursday-Sunday but did not go through the on-field workouts or measurable skills testing due to a knee injury. Allen did participate in other activities at the combine.

Each player at the combine is put through a similar four-day schedule for personnel from all 32 NFL teams, including head coaches, general managers and scouts. The combine is one of the key tools used in preparation for the 2013 NFL Draft, which will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City Thursday-Saturday, Apr. 25-27.

On their day of arrival in Indianapolis, players register before going through orientation, hospital pre-exam and x-rays and team interviews. The second day includes additional team interviews, media interviews, measurements and medical examinations. Day three consists of the bench press to begin the measurable drills testing, as well as psychological testing, an NFL Players Association meeting and more team interviews. On the fourth and final day, players are timed in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and 3 cone drills, while also being measured in the broad jump and vertical jump, and going through on-field positional workouts.

Players started arriving at the combine last Wednesday staggered by position groups beginning with the placekickers, specialists, offensive linemen and tight ends. Thursday arrivals included quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, while defensive linemen and linebackers checked in on Friday. Defensive backs were the final group to arrive on Saturday.
