BERKELEY - A total of 10 former Cal football players are on rosters of teams that have advanced to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs that will take place this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 12 and 13. Seven of the players are on teams that won games during the wild-card weekend of the playoffs this past Saturday and Sunday, while the other three are on squads that earned a bye during wild-card weekend. A total of 13 former Cal players started the playoffs on an NFL roster, with three were on teams that were eliminated during the wild-card round.

Marshawn Lynch (Seattle) and Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) made the biggest impact among players that advanced in the wild-card playoff round.

Lynch led the Seahawks to a 24-14 road victory over NFC East champion Washington by rushing for 132 yards (four more than his regular-season high of 128) and one touchdown on 20 carries. Brandon Mebane and Cameron Morrah (physically unable to participate list) are also on a Seattle squad that will next travel to Atlanta to face a Falcons club that features former Cal players Thomas DeCoud and Tony Gonzalez on Sunday, Jan. 13 (10 a.m. PT).

Rodgers completed 23-of-33 passes for 274 yards with one touchdown pass and no interceptions for a 104.9 quarterback rating as he connected with an NFL playoff record 10 different receivers as the starting quarterback in a 24-10 win over Minnesota in a wild-card playoff game. Desmond Bishop (injured reserve) and Jeremy Ross are also on a Green Bay team that will next travel to San Francisco for an NFC Divisional Playoff Game on Saturday, Jan. 12 (5 p.m. PT).

Justin Forsett did not play for a Houston squad that defeated Cincinnati, 19-13, in the wild-card round to earn a trip to New England and face another former Golden Bear running back in Shane Vereen on Sunday, Jan. 13 (1:30 a.m. PT).

Lorenzo Alexander (Washington), Marvin Jones (Cincinnati) and Nick Sundberg (Washington) are on teams that were eliminated during the wild-card round of the playoffs.

A total of 34 former Cal players (second among Pac-12 teams) finished the 2012 regular-season on an NFL roster. Here's a look at each of them.

Lorenzo Alexander, LB, Washington Redskins (Playoffs - Lost to Seattle, 24-14, in wild-card playoff game ... Regular Season - 10-6, NFC East Champions) - Made three tackles coming off the bench in a 24-14 home loss to Seattle in a wild-card playoff game that ended Washington's season ... played in all 16 regular-season games off the bench for a team that entered the playoffs with a seven-game win streak ... earned his first Pro Bowl selection as a special teamer ... had 47 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery in the regular season ... posted a season-high seven tackles and 1.0 sack in a Week 16 win at Philadelphia ... had 1.5 sacks and his fumble recovery as well as five tackles in a Week 6 win over Minnesota, and then equaled the five tackles in a Week 7 loss at the New York Giants ... has played seven NFL seasons with Washington (2006-12) and Baltimore (2006) and totaled 163 tackles, 8.0 sacks, five passes defended, three forced fumbles and one kick return for 10 yards in 92 regular-season games and 13 starts

Tyson Alualu, DT, Jacksonville Jaguars (Regular Season - 2-14, 4th AFC South) - Started each of the team's 16 regular-season games and contributed 45 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery ... had his final sack in a Week 16 loss to New England ... picked up his first career fumble recovery along with a half-sack and two tackles in a Week 15 loss at Miami ... posted a season-high-tying six stops in a Week 2 loss to Houston and equaled it in a Week 13 defeat at Buffalo ... had five tackles, 1.0 sack and one pass breakup in a Week 10 loss to Indianapolis ... had four tackles and 1.0 sack in a Week 1 loss at Minnesota ... has started all 48 regular-season games possible over his first three NFL seasons (2010-12), totaling 123 tackles and 9.5 sacks

Bryan Anger, P, Jacksonville Jaguars (Regular Season - 2-14, 4th AFC South) - Finished his first season in the NFL by playing in all 16 regular-season games off the bench and ranking among the league's top 10 in punts (91, 2nd), total punting yards (4353, 2nd), opponent fair catches (29, 2nd), pinning opponents inside the 20-yard line (31, 6th), net punting average (40.8 nypg, T7th) and punting average (47.8, 7th) ... tied for the second-longest punt in the NFL in 2012 when he booted one 73 yards in a Week 9 loss vs. Detroit ... had at least one punt of 52 yards or longer in all 16 of his contests and at least one of 60 on eight occasions ... averaged over 50.0 yards per punt five times, including a career-high 56.3 in a Week 16 loss vs. New England, as well as over 40.0 in each of his 14 games ... previous career high average was 53.5 in both a Week 1 loss at Minnesota and a Week 3 win at Indianapolis ... forced his opponents into at least one fair catch in each of his 16 regular-season games, while pinning opponents inside their 20-yardline at least once 14 of 16 times, doing both a career-high five times in a Week 14 loss to the New York Jets ... punted a career-high-tying nine times in a Week 2 loss to Houston and a Week 7 overtime loss at Oakland, picking up a career-high 470 punting yards and a 52.2 average against the Texans

Nnamdi Asomugha, CB, Philadelphia Eagles (Regular Season - 4-12, 4th NFC East) - Had 55 tackles, an interception and 12 passes defended while starting all 16 regular-season games ... recorded his lone interception and a season-high-tying three passes defended in a Week 6 overtime loss to Detroit, a season-high-tying eight tackles both in a Week 13 loss at Dallas (also a team-high) and a Week 5 loss at Pittsburgh, and a season-high-tying three passes defended in a Week 1 win at Cleveland ... finished his season with six tackles and a pass defended in a Week 17 loss at the New York Giants ... has spent 10 seasons in the NFL with Oakland (2003-10) and Philadelphia (2011-12), totaling 405 tackles, 15 interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, 71 passes defended, 2.0 sacks and two forced fumbles over 154 regular-season games and 130 starts

Jahvid Best, RB, Detroit Lions (Regular Season - 4-12, 4th NFC North) - Did not play and was on the physically unable to participate (PUP) list for the entire 2012 season ... totaled 945 yards rushing and six touchdowns on 255 carries, and 85 receptions for 774 yards and three touchdowns over 22 regular-season games and 15 starts in his first two NFL seasons (2010-11) with the Lions

Desmond Bishop, LB, Green Bay Packers (Playoffs - Won vs. Minnesota, 24-10, in wild-card playoff game ... Regular Season - 11-5, NFC North Champions) - Has not played in the postseason or 16 regular-season games in 2012 and is on the injured reserve list for a team that won its second straight NFC North title before posting a 24-10 win over Minnesota in a wild-card playoff game and will next travel to San Francisco for an NFC Divisional Playoff Game on Saturday, Jan. 12 (5 p.m. PT) ... a member of Green Bay's Super Bowl XLV winning squad who has regular-season totals of 292 tackles, 9.0 sacks, nine passes defended and one interception that he returned 32 yards for a touchdown over 59 regular-season games and 26 starts in his first six NFL seasons (2007-12) with the Packers

D.J. Campbell, S, Carolina Panthers (Regular Season - 7-9, T2nd NFC South) - Made his first four NFL starts in each of the team's final four regular-season games (all victories) in his first NFL season ... had a career-high four tackles in a Week 17 win at New Orleans, posted three stops in his first career start in a week 14 win vs. Atlanta, and two each in a Week 16 win vs. Oakland, a Week 15 win at San Diego (also first career pass defended) and a Week 14 win vs. Atlanta ... had one tackle in his NFL debut in a Week 13 loss at Kansas City after having not played in the team's first 11 contests.

Sean Cattouse, DB, San Diego Chargers (Regular Season - 7-9, 2nd AFC West) - Made his NFL debut when he played off the bench in a Week 17 win over Oakland.
