WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ESPN: Although a developmental size prospect at the tackle position, Johnson flashes the athleticism and playing strength needed to be an effective run blocker at the major level of competition. His frame appears capable of supporting additional body mass over time. Playing out of a three-point stance we see the flexibility, balance and agility needed to play on his feet in space while demonstrating the ability to function within a tight box; shows he is capable of adjusting his feet to handle quick change of direction movement ... This guy displays the finishing attitude we like to see from offensive linemen.
Rivals: Johnson is very much a mobile and athletic offensive tackle, making him an ideal fit for Cal. He also plays with a lot of aggression, finishing his blocks whenever possible.
