Golden Bears and Thunderbirds Meet For First Time in School History
CAL CAREER (Career Stats): Has played in 17 games with one start over the last two seasons of his four years with the Cal program from 2009-12 with four catches for 50 yards ... all his stats have coming in the past two campaigns in 2011 and 2012 ... had the longest catch of his career in the Big Game at Stanford in 2011 when he made a 19-yard reception ... changed to his current No. 28 in 2011 after having worn No. 82 for both the 2009 and 2010 campaigns.
2013: Had one reception for six yards in the spring game ... listed as the starter at the `Y' wide receiver position and holder on the post-spring depth chart.
2012 (Game-by-Game Stats): Played in all 12 games, seeing action as a backup wide receiver and as team's starting holder for field goals and extra points ... had one catch for 18 yards with the reception coming at Utah ... had team-highs of six catches and 73 receiving yards in the spring game, while also catching a two-point conversion from Zach Kline that proved to be the deciding points in a 21-20 Gold victory.
2011 (Game-by-Game Stats): Saw the first action of his collegiate career, playing in five games with one start and making three receptions for 32 yards ... had the first two catches of his career for 28 yards during a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter at Stanford to cut the Cardinal lead to its final 31-28 margin, including a career-long 19-yarder ... added another catch for four yards in his first career start in the regular-season finale at Arizona State ... also played in home games vs. Presbyterian, USC and Utah.
2010: Did not play ... named Co-Scout Team Player of the Year on offense.
2009: Redshirted ... did not play.
DE LA SALLE HS: Tallied a team-high 39 receptions for 712 yards and six touchdown catches as a 2008 senior for a squad that finished with a 12-2 overall record, won the East Bay Athletic League and North Coast Section titles, and finished as the state runner-up while being ranked No. 19 nationally ... racked up the recognition in his final prep campaign, earning an All-EBAL selection, his team's Players Award and a spot in the Contra Costa-Alameda All-Star Classic ... was also named an honorable mention Athlete of the Week by the San Francisco Chronicle on Nov. 5, 2008, the same week the award was won by former Cal teammate Dasarte Yarnway of Sacred Heart Cathedral ... started for a MaxPreps national championship team and California state winners as a junior in 2007.
