Jeremy Newberry Decides to Turn Pro

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Cal center Jeremy Newberry said Friday evening that he had filed the petition for entry into the NFL draft with the league office earlier in the day.

The 6-5, 300-pounder made a late decision to enter the draft after first leaning toward returning to Cal for his senior season. He earned second team All-Pac-10 honors last season after starting all 11 games.
