LINZ, Austria - Former California rower Marko Marjanovic placed eighth overall in the men's coxed pair on Sunday at the 2008 FISA World Rowing Senior and Junior Championships. Marjanovic and his Serbian teammates, Cedomir Nikitovic and Marko Milovanovic, posted a time of 7:16.08 to take second in the B final behind Hungary (7:14.62). Canada won the gold medal in 7:06.69.

Marjanovic completed his Cal career in June, when he rowed on the Golden Bears' third-place varsity eight in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta.
