REDWOOD SHORES, Calif-The Cal men's crew, coming off a strong showing last week at the San Diego Crew Classic, easily handled the visiting Oregon State Beavers in dual races at the varsity, JV, and freshman levels on the Redwood Shores Lagoon, Saturday, April 11. In addition the Golden Bear third varsity and second novice boats downed challengers from Sacramento State.

"The Cal crews had a very business like approach to today's racing," said coach Steve Gladstone. "This was our first time out on home course under race conditions this season and it was nice to bring home some wins. I hope today's experience helps us when we race the Washington Huskies here on April 25."
