December 15, 2008 BERKELEY - Jerome Randle hit a 3-pointer with 6.1 seconds left to lead Cal to a 72-69 road win over Utah Dec. 10 in Salt Lake City, helping the Golden Bears improve their record to 7-2 under first-year head coach Mike Montgomery. The junior point guard finished with 21 points against the Utes to become the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week. After averaging 11.8 ppg last season, Randle is pouring in over 20.3 ppg this year to lead the Bears.
