Berkeley- Former Cal basketball star Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who was a standout for the Golden Bears during the 1995-96 season, returned to campus Monday to receive his sociology degree at the University's commencement.

After a 13-year NBA career that included an All-Star appearance in 2002, Abdur-Rahim is now the Assistant General Manager with the Sacramento Kings. He returned to school to complete his undergraduate coursework towards his degree. Amongst close family and friends, he received his degree and the department's commencement.
