BERKELEY - Freshman forward Ryan Anderson, who averaged 20.7 ppg and 11.7 rpg in helping Cal reach the semifinals of the Pac-10 Tournament, was voted to the all-tournament team announced Saturday.

Anderson opening the tourney by scoring a career-high 27 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a 70-51 first-round win over Oregon State Wednesday. A day later, he finished with 18 points and eight boards, as Cal upset fourth-ranked UCLA, 76-69, in overtime.

Anderson capped off his performance with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the Bears' 81-63 setback to Oregon in the semifinals Friday night.

Anderson is just the third Cal player to earn all-tournament honors. Last year, Leon Powe was voted MVP and Ayinde Ubaka was chosen all-tournament when the Bears advanced to the final for the first time.

In addition to his Pac-10 Tournament recognition, Anderson was selected to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team and honorable mention All-Pac-10. He has also been named to three different freshman All-America squads.

For the season, Anderson led the Bears with 16.3 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Both his point total (537) and rebound total (269) rank 14th on Cal's single-season lists, and he is one of only four players to be rated in the school's Top 15 on both charts.

Oregon guard Tajuan Porter was named the tourney MVP, with Ducks Bryce Taylor and Aaron Brooks and USC teammates Taj Gibson and Gabe Pruitt joining Anderson on the all-tournament squad.
