BERKELEY - The California men's basketball team has secured the No. 2 seed in this coming week's Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

Cal, 20-10 overall, finished tied for second in the Pac-12 standings with Arizona and Oregon with a 12-6 record. The Bears earn the No. 2 seed by virtue of their win in their only meeting with Arizona and their season-sweep of the Ducks.

Cal has placed in the top-four in the Pac-12 Conference standings all five seasons under head coach Mike Montgomery. The Bears are the only team in the league to record at least 10 victories in the conference each of the last five seasons.

The Golden Bears will play at 6 p.m. (PT) on Thursday, March 14, in a quarterfinal-round game on the Pac-12 Networks against the winner of No. 7 seed USC and No. 10 seed Utah game at 6 p.m. (PT) on Wednesday, March 13.

The 108 total wins so far in Mike Montgomery's first five seasons marks the winningest five-year stretch since 1960 when Pete Newell completed his final five seasons with 110 wins.

Junior guard Allen Crabbe, a Pac-12 Player of the Year candidate, is the Pac-12 Conference's regular-season scoring champion with an 18.6 points-per-game average overall.
