BERKELEY -Cal now leads the all-time series over the Cardinal, 143-114. Stanford won earlier this season on The Farm, 82-68.
Freshman Allen Crabbe continued to shoot his way up Cal's all time freshman leaderboards. After shooting 1-2 behind the arc, he is now 54-133 on the season, remaining in fourth for single season three point percentage by a freshman with 40.6%. He shot 3-3 from the line today, improving to second place in free throw percentage in a season by a freshman all time with 82.4% (70-85). His 24 points led Cal scorers and marked the fourth time this year he had over 20 points.
Harper Kamp scored 20 points on the afternoon. It was the sixth time he reached the 20 point plateau this season.
Markhuri Sanders-Frison finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds to earn his seventh double-double of the season. It also marked a new career high in rebounds. He previously had 12 against Kansas on Dec. 22, 2010.
Cal led 33-21 at half, the sixth time this season the Bears have led by double figures at the break. It was Cal's largest halftime lead since Jan. 29 when the Bears led Oregon, 47-35 at half.
After shooting 72 percent in the second half at Oregon State last Saturday, Cal followed up with another strong second half, shooting 65.4 percent (17-26).
Cal outscored Stanford 44-16 in the paint and 15-0 on fast breaks.
Cal outrebounded Stanford by 12, 38-26. It was Cal's first double digit rebounding margin since the Bears outrebounded Arizona State by 16 on Jan. 8.
Stanford's 55 points were its fewest against Cal since Jan. 6, 2002, when Cal won, 68-54.
