As a Sophomore (2008-09): Kamp was an important factor in Cal's success last season, despite playing with a painful knee that was still recovering from offseason surgery ... made his first career start at Oregon State ... recorded career bests in points (18) at Oregon, rebounds (8) vs. Stanford and assists (5) vs. Arizona ... set a then-season-best mark in points with 12 at Utah, going 5-for-10 from the floor, and also collected three rebounds ... shooting percentage in Pac-10 games was .528 (28-for-53) ... at Oregon, he was 6-for-7 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line to secure the career-high night in scoring (18) ... previous to his impressive performance at Oregon, he notched 11 points in the game before vs. Stanford, going 5-for-7 from the charity stripe and a clean 3-for-3 from the field to go with his career-high eight rebounds ... posted seven boards vs. Arizona ... in the season opener against Pacific, corralled six rebounds ... secured five boards against Nevada, DePaul and North Carolina A&T ... appeared in every game.
