BERKELEY -

Rain in the Bay Area has postponed the Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 baseball game between California (3-0) and No. 15-ranked Stanford (1-2). Two teams have re-scheduled to play on Wednesday, Feb. 20 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Cardinal's Sunken Diamond.

Cal is fresh off a three-game sweep of Michigan last weekend at Evans Diamond, winning all three games in walk-off fashion - 5-4 in 11 innings, 6-5 in 10 innings and 2-1.Junior catcher Andrew Knapp, a first-team Preseason All-American in Baseball America, won the Feb. 15 game with an RBI single; junior second baseman Mike Reuvekamp won the Feb. 16 contest with his game-winning hit; and freshman left fielder Brian Celsi knocked in the game-winning RBI on Feb. 17.

The Golden Bear relievers were outstanding versus the Wolverines with freshman right-hander Ryan Mason, junior Trevor Hildenberger and senior right-hander Logan Scott all picking up wins. Seven Cal relievers combined to throw 18.1 innings against Michigan, giving up only one earned run while striking out 12 batters.

One of the Bears' relievers who is a potential starter versus Stanford Wednesday is sophomore left-hander Chris Muse-Fisher, who last season was 3-1 with a 1.93 ERA and was named the team's Freshman of the Year. A tentative starter for Stanford is sophomore right-hander David Schmidt.

Last season, Cal concluded its schedule defeating the Cardinal two of three games at Sunken Diamond, including winning 5-4 in 18 innings on May 25, 2012 - the longest game in Cal baseball history.

Following the mid-week game at Stanford, the Bears travel to No. 25-ranked UC Irvine (3-0) for a four-game series against the Anteaters, beginning Friday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Anteater Ballpark.
