Stefan Shakiba Position: Director of Baseball Operations

After a two year hiatus, Stefan Shakiba returns to the California athletic department and the Golden Bears' baseball program for his fourth season overall. As the Director of Baseball Operations, Shakiba's responsibilities include organizing and implementing new opportunities to further enhance the Cal program. Shakiba is involved in nearly all aspects of the team; including fundraising, public relations, marketing and student-athlete support.

Shakiba's previous work experiences include working at Steinberg and Moorad, a sports management firm, where he conducted research for Major League Baseball arbitration. In addition, he has operated a successful painting business and has spent considerable time volunteering with various community service events and underprivileged youths. Shakiba graduated from Cal in 2001 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, and received a master's degree in sports management from the University of San Francisco in 2005. Shakiba plans on pursuing a doctorate degree in psychology in two years.
