Cal Baseball Pounded by UCLA, 9-0

LOS ANGELES - UCLA's defending Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week Tom Jacquez pitched another strong game for the Bruins, throwing a three-hit shutout against California while not walking a batter. Cal dropped the game 9-0 at Jackie Robinson Stadium Friday.

Cal's Brian Oliver was the only Bear to muster any offense, hitting 2-for-4 on the evening.

The two teams will close out the series on Saturday with a 1 p.m. start.
