June 22, 2004 Cal Baseball Summer Highlights Thanks to our Seniors Shortstop Jeff Dragicevich, outfielder David Weiner, catcher Chris Grossman and pitcher Matt Brown completed their senior years with outstanding seasons and Golden Bear careers. We recognize and thank each of them for their strong contributions to the team both on and off the field. We wish them the very best in the future, whether in baseball or other ventures. Carl J. Van Heuit Training Center Construction honoring the memory of Carl Van Heuit will begin later this summer. We are indebted to many of you who have contributed significantly to make this happen. The facility will allow our players to practice in all weather conditions and at night. It is the first step toward the completion of the Evans Diamond Master Plan for facilities improvements.
