DAVIS, Calif. - Several members of the men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the Doc Adams Invitational on Saturday morning at the Putah Creek Reserve in Davis, Calif. The men's 8000-meter race will begin at 10 a.m. and the women's 6000-meter race will get underway at 10:45 a.m. Senior Matt Petersen, a Davis, Calif. native, will join fellow senior Joe Greenspun and freshmen Andrew Bland, Juan David Garcia, Thomas Joyce, Jared Hazlett and Net Trim at Saturday's event. Petersen, Greenspun and Garcia have raced three times, while Bland, Joyce Trim have competed twice and Hazlett has one event under his belt this fall. On the women's side, Davis, Calif. natives Juliana Green and Christine Bowlus will be joined by Rebecka Oberg and Christine Zavesky in the Doc Adams Invitational. Bowlus and Zavesky have raced three times, while Green, Oberg have competed in two events this fall. Next up for several Bears is the NCAA West Regionals on Friday, Nov. 9 in Seattle, Wash.
