TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - California junior David Torrence placed 92nd in his first appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Monday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center.

Torrence, who placed 13th at the NCAA West Regional in 30:34.99 on Nov. 11, covered the 10K course today in 32:31.2. There were 250 men's runners overall at this year's Indiana State-hosted national championships.

BYU senior Josh Rohatinsky won the NCAA title in 30:44.9, whle Stanford senior Neftalem Araia took second in 30:52.6.

Colorado claimed the men's team crown with 94 points, and Stanford grabbed the women's title with 195 points.
