Cross Country: Made his debut for Cal at the Pre-NCAA meet...came in 20th at the Pac-10 Championships, clocking in at 23:51. Track: Posted a regional-qualifying time in the 10,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational, clocking a 29:28.05, which was also a school freshman record and the third-best time in school history...provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 5000 meters with an indoor school-record time of 14:08.58 at the MPSF Championships. High School: Won Icelandic championships in the 1500 meters, 3000, 5000, 10,000, 4x800, 4x1500 and the half marathon...competing for his club team, Breidablik, won a national championship in indoors in 2007...holds the club records for the 3000, 5000 and 10,000...competed in the Games of the Small States of Europe, Nordic Championships in the 10,000 and in cross country, European Championships and other national junior team competitions.
