On the opening day of the meet, Maier took second in the 5000 meters, and her time of 15:40.74 is the second fastest in school history, trailing only the school record she set in mid-February. Then on Saturday night, she was edged out in the 3000 meters after posting a time of 9:15.74. With the 16 points totaled by Maier, Cal placed 15th in the team competition.
