STANFORD, Calif. - Amanda Hunter captured the women's collegiate triple jump as seven Golden Bears posted top-10 finishes on the second day of the Stanford Invitational Saturday afternoon. Hunter registered a mark of 40-2.25 on her first attempt, then passed on her final two of four tries having secured a victory over runner-up Candace Alvarez of Hawaii, who had a best of 39-10.75. Aziza Baker competed in the invitational triple jump, where she took sixth with a PR effort of 40-4.25. The distance was 5.25 inches further than her previous outdoor best of 38-11.00 set two weeks ago. On the men's side of the ledger, both Dash Oliver and Jonathan Berry-Smith ran to personal-best times in the 200 meters. Oliver lowered his PR by more than half a second, finishing in 22.02, while Berry-Smith was timed in 22.23. The Golden Bears return to action next Saturday with the 118th edition of the Big Meet at Cal's Edwards Stadium. Field events get underway at 9:30 a.m., with the first running event set for 1 p.m. in Berkeley.
