SEATTLE, Wash. - Junior Inika McPherson, junior Katie Morgan and freshman Allison Stokke from the California track and field team competed at the Washington Last Chance Meet today at the Dempsey Indoor Track Facility. Stokke and Morgan each tied their season highs on the pole vault, while McPherson participated in the high jump.
Stokke and Morgan each posted the same mark for the second straight competition. The mark of 13-1 (3.99m) was set by each athlete in the MPSF championships last weekend. The mark was a freshman record for Stokke, a school indoor record for both Morgan and Stokke, as well as a provisional qualifier.
McPherson's provisional-qualifying mark remains 5-10.00 (1.78m), which she earned at the MPSF championships.
Cal next competes in the NCAA Indoor Championships March 14-15 in Fayetteville, Ark. The Bears currently have 15 provisional qualifiers, one automatic qualifier (Alysia Johnson, 800) and two provisional-qualifying relays.
