Junior (2008): Earned a spot on the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Division I All-Academic team...earned a regional-qualifying time in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Pac-10 championships, recording a personal best 9:00.83.
Sophomore (2007): Earned a spot on the USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic team...ran a regional-qualifying and lifetime-best 9:06.29 to place 11th in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Pac-10 championships...other top times on the season include a 1:57.20 in the 800 (Jim Click Shootout), 3:59.85 in the 1500 (Aggie Open) and 4:10.49 (lifetime best, Brutus Hamilton Invitational).
Freshman (2006): Outdoors, recorded his lifetime-and Cal's season-best 9:14.61 in the 3000-meter steeplechase in the Big Meet...ran Cal's fifth-best times in the 1500 meters (lifetime-best 3:55.66, Hornet Invitational) and 3000 meters (lifetime-best 8:43.34, Hornet Invitational)...notched Cal's sixth-best 800 meters (lifetime-best 1:56.97, Brutus Hamilton Invitational)...redshirted indoor season.
High School: Graduated from Loyola High School, at which he led his team to the 2002 CIF and State Division I Cross-Country Championship, 2004 CIF and State Division II Cross-Country Championship, and the 2003 and 2004 CIF Division II Track Championships...earned all CIF honors in cross country in 2002...finished third in the 3200 meters at the CIF championships in 2005...also lettered in cross country and soccer.
