Cal Will Focus on Sprints, Jumps in First Meet of Year
Junior (2011): Redshirted. Sophomore (2010): Earned MPSF All-Academic (indoors), USTFCCCA All-Academic and first-team Pac-10 All-Academic (outdoors) ... posted Cal's best outdoor mark of the year in the 3000m (9:26.60) during a victory at the Big Meet ... ran a PR 4:23.98 in the 1500m in Tucson ... finished fourth in the 5000m at the Pac-10 Championships in 16:15.39 ... qualified for NCAAs with a time of 16:27.95 at the NCAA Preliminary Meet, which was seventh fastest in the field ... set a school record while winning the MPSF indoor title in the 3000m with a time of 9:20.05, which beat both the previous Cal marks indoors and outdoors in the event ... also set a Cal indoor record in the 5000m at the Husky Classic, clocking an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 15:58.49, more than 30 seconds faster than the previous mark of 16:30.56 set by Alison Greggor in 2009 ... ran the anchor leg on Cal's school-record-setting DMR that finished in 11:19.93 ... qualified for the NCAA indoor meet in the 5000m, but did not finish her race.
