Freshman (2008): Achieved two PRs at the Brutus Hamiltion Invitational, as he came in fourth in the shot put with a 54-8.25 (16.67m) and sixth in the discus with a 156-03 (47.63m)...won the shot put with a mark of 54-0.50 (16.47m) at the Stanford Invitational
(2007): Redshirted indoor and outdoors.
High School: A 2006 graduate of J.K. Mullen High School...placed in the top five in shot put in the 2004 and 2005 Colorado state meets...two-time regional shot-put champion...2006 regional discus champ...a football letterman and team captain as a senior.
