Sarah Mingviriya, MA, ATC (2000-2003) I graduated from Cal in 2002 with a degree in Integrative Biology. Then I spent a year off to finish my certification requirements...and hang out. Then I attended San Jose State University for my masters in Kinesiology. I am now working at Diablo Valley College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Class of 2001
Mona AuYoung, MS, ATC (2000-2004) I graduated with a degree in Integrative Biology and minor in English in 2001, but I stayed on as an intern to complete the requirements for certification. In 2002, I was hired as a GA to work with men's water polo and baseball, and later, women's soccer and softball. After getting my MS in Kinesiology, I went on to work in the physical therapy department at Sequoia Hospital and as the Head ATC at Woodside High School. Since then, I have had the opportunity to be a health services volunteer with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Louisiana and I look forward to helping with rebuilding as we see what Hurricane Rita brings.
Sarah Balys, MSPT (2000-2001) I graduated from Cal in 2001 with a degree in Integrative Biology. I spent a year working as a PT Aide before graduating from Physical Therapy School at UCSF/SFSU in 2004. Now I am a PT at UCLA, working at student health services and the general outpatient clinic. I am looking forward to further exploring Los Angeles, and also furthering my skills through continuing education.
Chantel Debert, MSc (1998-2001) I graduated from Cal with a degree in psychology and a degree in IB. Since leaving Cal, I have finished an MSc in Medicine from the University of Calgary. My thesis focused on Brain Blood Flow in Young and Postmenopausal Women. I then started medical school and am now in my last year at the University of Calgary. I am looking forward to graduating and starting residency!!! I am undecided in what I want to do...but I am thinking Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Sports Med. I am currently engaged and will be getting married next summer!
Nancy Lan, MA, ATC (1999-2001) I graduated with a BA in Integrative Biology and a minor in Nutritional Sciences in 2001, then followed with a MA degree at San Jose State University in Kinesiology-Sports Medicine. After working 2 years as the head ATC at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA, and 1 year as the head ATC at Woodside High School/ BAK physical therapy clinic (where Mona "luckily" took my position and brought the football team from dead last to CCS champions), I decided I've had enough and decided to pursue Physician's Assistant school at Yale University, where I am now in my second year. Of the 3 rotations I've had so far, I'm most interested in surgery. I still miss the adrenaline rush or working on the field and hope to volunteer some time there once I get the time.
Kraigher O'Keefe, MD (1999-2001) I graduated from Cal in 2001 with a major in MCB and Business Administration. While at Cal, I worked with the football, gymnastics, men's soccer, and baseball teams. Class of 1995
Jennifer (Lewis) Bennigson I graduated from Cal in 1995 with a degree in Human Biodynamics. After graduation, I married fellow Cal student Cordell Bennigson. We spent the first 9 years of our marriage moving around the country while Cordell flew the Harrier for the Marine Corps. We lived in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Arizona, and finally, San Diego. Cordell spent 6 months in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After he returned home, his contract expired and he got out of the Marine Corps. We then moved from San Diego to Boston for Cordell to get his MBA at Harvard Business School. He graduated in May 2005 and now we are living in Austin, TX and he is working for Dell. We have two boys: Rylan is 5 and Cavan is 3. I have been teaching aerobics and personal training for the past 6 years. I completed my first triathlon and half-marathon while in Boston and plan on doing more now that we are in Austin. While in Boston, I started a personal training business focusing on the obese population. I continue to work with Boston clients via email and am working to establish myself here in Austin. We are loving Austin and enjoying being in such an active part of the country. We hope to live overseas in the next few years but eventually plan on ending up in San Diego surfing every evening and running on PCH every day. Can't wait to hear from everyone.

In 2003, I returned to school part-time to study sport management at San Jose State University and will complete my MA in December of 2005. I spend my free time on the beach doing all sorts of ocean activities and still enjoy traveling whenever possible.
