IMPORTANT PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION FOR NOVEMBER 2.
As Cal football prepares to host Washington for the first-ever Friday night home game at newly renovated California Memorial Stadium, the athletic department and campus community are proactively informing fans about parking and transportation options for this game. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for fans to arrive in Berkeley with plenty of time to reach Memorial Stadium and enjoy the game.
Please note, UC BERKELEY WILL CONTINUE WITH NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND CLASS SCHEDULE ON FRIDAY, NOV. 2. Driving to Berkeley is not advised due to heavy weekday traffic. We encourage fans to take public transportation to the game. For options, see below.
FOOTBALL SEASON PARKING PASS HOLDERS
Season parking passes were not issued for this game. If you own a season parking pass you are not permitted to park in campus lots due to normal university activities on Friday, Nov. 2. Instead, we ask that you use one of the many options we have available to our fans, listed below.
Endowment Seating Program (ESP) season ticket holders are guaranteed a complimentary parking spot at Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley for this game. See below for details or email cal.esp@berkeley.edu.

Take public transportation
- BART has extended its trains to accommodate fans and the normal business commute
- AC Transit will have increased service to all regular lines
Free Shuttle Service
As a transportation option for our fans, we will have free shuttle service at the following locations, starting at 3pm provided by Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation.
- Rockridge BART Station - corner of Miles and College.
- Downtown Berkeley - between Oxford and Shattuck on Center Street.
- Berkeley Amtrak Station - University and 4th street
Free Parking and Shuttle Service in Berkeley Marina at Hs Lordship
Hs Lordship will be offering pre-game food and drinks. Enjoy $5 off purchase of $25 or more with coupon using this link. Shuttle Service to and from the game will be free at Hs Lordship location in the Berkeley Marina exclusively for the Washington game. Shuttle service starts at 3pm and service concludes one hour after the game ends.

Parking in City of Berkeley Lots
A limited number of spaces in city-operated parking lots on Center Street and Oxford Street near Memorial Stadium will be available for a $20 flat rate. For more information, click here.
Free Parking and Shuttles at Golden Gate Fields
Another great alternative to driving is parking at Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley and taking a free shuttle to-and-from California Memorial Stadium. The lot opens at 3pm and there are approximately 1,000 open parking spaces that will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. ADA parking spots will be available on a limited basis. Shuttles will run up to one hour after the game concludes.

- Take Highway 80 East
- Exit on Buchanan Street (toward Albany)
- Turn left onto Buchanan Street
- Continue straight on Buchanan Street Extension
- Parking Lot will be on the left

- Take Highway 580 East (Richmond Bridge)
- Exit on Buchanan Street (exit will be on the left)
- Turn right onto Buchanan Street/Buchanan Street Extension

- Take Highway 80 West
- Exit on Central Avenue (exit 14A)
- Turn right onto Central Avenue and drive 0.3 miles
- Turn left to merge onto I-580 East toward Oakland
