Cal Football Access Brochure

Ticket Purchase
There are four different ways to purchase an accessible ticket to a Cal Football Game:
• Online: Calbears.cstv.com

• Telephone: (800) GO BEARS [(800) 462-3277]

• On Campus: The ticket office is located at 2223 Fulton is open M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• At the Game: Tickets may also be purchased at the Kleeberger Parking Lot Ticket Booths and at the south entrance of Memorial Stadium. While we attempt to accommodate all requests for groups to remain together, first priority is that one companion seat be available for purchase by every individual whose use of a wheelchair necessitates wheelchair accessible seating. Only after this minimum allocation has been offered are unsold spaces/seats in the wheelchair accessible seating areas released for purchase to those using wheelchairs who want more than one companion seat.

Disabled Seating There are two accessible seating areas of Memorial Stadium that have disabled seating
• Lower Bowl: Sections TT & U are located on the lower portion of the eastern side of the stadium. Ticket holders may reach their seats by entering through the north gate and tunnel. To see a map click here.

• Upper Bowl: Sections UU, S, SS, R, RR, P, PP, & OO are also located on the eastern side of Memorial Stadium and ticket holders may enter may enter Memorial Stadium via the Stadium Rimway road at Gate 10 (Section UU) & Gate 9 (Section P).

Getting Around on Game Day
Please note that Football games are attended heavily and all forms of transportation leading to the game become extremely crowded and busy. Please be sure to give yourself plenty of time to reach the game. For more information about campus transportation referenced below (e.g. Underhill Shuttle Express, golf carts, etc.), call the Mobility Access Officer at (510) 642-2795.

GETTING THERE

Starting two hours before the beginning of the game and continuing one hour after the game starts, on Game Day Saturdays the campus provides free shuttles to transport fans close to the Memorial Stadium whether patrons arrive at the Berkeley BART station or park at any of several parking lots. There are four golf cart pick up points (Greek Theater bus stop, I-House, Kroeber Hall or Boalt Hall) where patrons may catch a golf cart to take them to any of Memorial Stadium's three entrances: North Entrance, West Entrance, or East Entrance (Stadium Rimway at top).

Persons with disabilities will find ADA code compliant parking spaces at all garages/lots mentioned below, and all shuttles are wheelchair accessible. (Please note that there are other DP parking spaces in other garages/lots where all patrons with football parking permits, including persons with disabilities, may park. However, these other lots/garages not mentioned below do not have an adjacent transportation stop nearby and may not have an accessible path of travel to Memorial Stadium.) Persons in wheelchairs who need golf cart service from one of the specified four golf cart pick up points (Greek Theater bus stop, I-House, Kroeber Hall or Boalt Hall) should call 20 minutes in advance (510) 643-9553 to ensure that the next golf cart brought is wheelchair accessible. Persons with disabilities may also call this number if additional information is needed for any reason.

FROM BART/NORTHSIDE PARKING: Persons travelling from the Berkeley BART station, or who park in the GP&B garage (on Oxford near Hearst, reserved for season ticket holders) or Lower Hearst garage (on Hearst Street west of Euclid Street) may take the Hearst Shuttle (20 minute intervals) along the northside of campus to be dropped off at the Greek Theater bus stop on Gayley Road, from where a golf cart is available to take patrons to the Memorial Stadium (20 minute intervals).

FROM SOUTHSIDE PARKING: Persons who park at Bancroft/Fulton Lot, Bancroft/Fulton West Lot, Anna Head West Lot (on Channing Way, east of Telegraph), Underhill Lot (Channing Way, west of College Ave), Bancroft Structure (on Bancroft, west of College Ave) may take the Bancroft/Channing Shuttle (20 minute intervals) along the southside of campus to be dropped off in front of the International House (corner of Bancroft and Piedmont), from where a golf cart is available to take patrons to the Memorial Stadium (20 minute intervals).

FROM KROEBER HALL (BANCROFT STRUCTURE) and BOALT HALL LOT: To catch a golf cart ride to Memorial Stadium, persons who park at Bancroft Structure (on Bancroft, west of College Ave) may catch a golf cart in front of Kroeber Hall and persons who park in Boalt Hall parking lot may catch a golf cart in the Boalt Hall Lot.

DURING THE GAME

Patrons using wheelchairs whose seats are in the lower level of Memorial Stadium may call (510) 643-9553 during the game in order to request golf cart transportation to/from the upper rimway of the stadium for purposes of using the upper level wheelchair accessible restrooms and concession stands. Patrons using wheelchairs may want to avoid intermission break for such golf cart transportation as travelling between points inside the stadium may take a half hour or more due to congestion.

AFTER THE GAME

One hour after the end of the game, shuttles make a one time run from either the Greek Theater bus stop alongside the northside of campus (e.g., Berkeley BART station, GP&B garage, Lower Hearst garage) or from the I-House along the southside of campus to Kroeber Hall, Boalt Hall, Bancroft/Fulton Lot, Bancroft/Fulton West Lot, Anna Head West Lot (on Channing Way, east of Telegraph), Underhill Lot (Channing Way, west of College Ave), Bancroft Structure (on Bancroft, west of College Ave). Prior to the end of the game, persons with disabilities may call (510) 643-9553 to arrange for golf cart service to assist after the end of the game (golf cart service may not be available until 30 minutes after the end of the game).
