Jonathan Klinsmann has a lot to celebrate.
Pursuing his athletic passion in a tropical climate is just the start.
Over the weekend, Klinsmann helped lead the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team to its first-ever 2017 CONCACAF championship in San Jose, Costa Rica after downing Honduras 5-3 in the final. The win qualified the team for the 2017 Youth World Cup in Korea Republic.
Klinsmann who also starts in the net for the U.S. men's team, also picked up the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper.
"A huge congratulations to Jonathan for playing so well and helping the U.S. U-20's qualify for the Youth World Cup," said Cal head coach
Kevin Grimes. "He was a major factor in shutting out Mexico and Honduras. We also couldn't be more proud of him winning the Golden Glove award; that really speaks to his continued growth and development as a player."
The Youth World Cup will be hosted run from May 20-June 11 and includes 52 teams from around the world.
