Rodgers Earns Spot on NFHCA All-Region Squad

GILBERT, Ariz. – California freshman Megan Rodgers is among the 160 student-athletes who earned a spot on the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I All-Region Squad.
 
The Golden Bear rookie earned NFHCA West Region Second Team honors and is one of just 23 freshmen named to an all-region team. Rodgers scored her way onto the list after finishing the regular season as the third-highest scoring freshman in the nation and tying for sixth among Cal's single-season record holders for goals scored (17). She also matched seventh among Cal's single-season records for points (37).
 
Through the regular season, Rodgers led the America East in goals (16), game-winning goals (4), points (35) and goals per game (1.00). She ranked eighth in the nation in goals per game (1.00) and 16th nationally for points per game (2.19).
 
Rodgers adds her latest honor to a growing list of awards following her standout freshman season, including America East All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Tournament honors, plus four America East weekly awards.
