Cal's swimmers and divers will both be in action this weekend, with the squad split in order to attend separate events in Berkeley and Flagstaff, Arizona. The swimmers will host the third of four home fall dual meets when Nevada visits Friday afternoon. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. and the meet will be held at Legends Aquatic Center. The Bears and Wolfpack are facing each other for the first time since 2010, with Cal holding an 8-2 series edge.

Meanwhile, Cal's divers will compete on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform during the Lumberjack Diving Invitational set for Friday-Sunday. Each of the Bears hopes this marks the first of two trips to Flagstaff as the site also serves as the venue for the NCAA Zone E Championships, which will determine qualifiers for the NCAA meet in March.

• BEARS STAY UNDEFEATED, SWEEP OREGON STATE, NORTH CAROLINA STATE
Cal hosted a pair of schools the weekend of Nov. 3-4 and came away with a clean sweep, defeating Oregon State, 164-85, on Nov. 3 and downing North Carolina State, 176-124, a day later. The Bears combined to win 26 of 30 events, including four apiece by Abbey Weitzeil and Kathleen Baker. Weitzeil claimed the 100 breast and 500 free against OSU, then moved back into her specialties to prevail in the 50 and 100 free vs. NC State. Baker won three events against NC State - 100 and 200 back, 200 IM - and the 100 free vs. OSU.

Following Cal's dual meet against North Carolina State Nov. 4, more than 200 people, including dozens of alumnae and their families, remained at Legends Aquatic Center for a special ceremony celebrating Teri McKeever's 25 years as the Bears' head coach. Chancellor Carol Christ and Director of Athletics Mike Williams were among the speakers, along with current swimmers, a former assistant coach and a pair of alums. Before the crowd heard from McKeever, Michael Go announced the formation of the Teri McKeever Swimming Scholarship, which will be awarded to a deserving student-athlete beginning next year.
