BERKELEY - Monday's Cal Coaches Corner will originate from courtside at Haas Pavilion Monday prior to the Golden Bear men's basketball game vs. UC Santa Barbara. The program runs from 6-7 p.m. and can be heard on KNEW Radio (910 AM).

Joining host Todd McKim this week are women's basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb along with freshman post Justine Hartman; Earl Robinson, recipient of this year's Pete Newell Career Achievement Award; Pac-12 men's basketball official Michael Reed; and a taped segment with men's basketball freshman David Kravish.

Gottlieb's Bears are 8-3 after another close call to a nationally ranked team Saturday. Despite a furious closing rally, Cal fell to No. 12 Ohio State, 77-75 - the team's third loss to a top-25 school by a combined six points. The Bears host Dartmouth at 7 p.m. Tuesday, then open Pac-12 action at UCLA Dec. 29.

Hartman, a 6-3 forward from Brea, Calif., earned spots on the McDonald's and WBCA High School All-America teams as a senior at Brea Olinda HS. So far at Cal, she is averaging 7.5 ppg on 56.3 percent shooting from the floor through the first 11 games of her collegiate career.

Robinson will be recognized at halftime of the Cal-UCSB men's game, which starts at 7:30 p.m., with the second annual career achievement award. A member of the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame and the Pac-10 Hall of Honor, Robinson played as a 6-1 guard under Newell, helping the Bears to conference titles in 1956, '57 and '58. He also starred on Cal's 1957 NCAA champion baseball team before embarking on a career in professional baseball. For more details on Robinson and his accomplishments, read the press release from Nov. 7.

Kravish is a 6-9 forward from Lee's Summit, Mo., who has two starts for the 9-2 Cal men. He is contributing 5.2 ppg and rates second on the squad with 6.0 ppg.

The Cal Coaches Corner, hosted by Todd McKim, is broadcast each Monday from August through March and includes interviews and features with Golden Bear coaches, student-athletes and alumni from all 29 intercollegiate sports. The show will return to its normal location at the Paragon inside the Claremont Hotel, Club and Spa on Monday, Dec. 26.
