BERKELEY - On Saturday, Oct. 8, San Francisco Bay Area children have the opportunity to learn from California's Division I student-athletes at the fourth annual College Sports Day. Held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Maxwell Family Field, the event is free and open to children in grades six and lower.
The event will feature student-athletes from a wide variety of Cal's 29 intercollegiate teams giving one-on-one instruction and leading interactive games related to their sport. The Golden Bears will also sign autographs for those present.
More than 300 kids are expected to attend the activities, which are free to all children and their families, though only those in sixth grade or lower can participate in the games.
