BERKELEY - A California state Senate committee held a hearing on the University of California campus on Friday to examine gender equity issues in the athletics departments of the campuses of the University of California system.

Representatives from the UC Office of the President, various campuses of the UC system, as well as other individuals, testified during the hearing by the Senate Select Committee on Gender Discrimination & Title IX Implementation. The hearing occurred on the Clark Kerr campus.
