BERKELEY, CA - The Pacific-10 Conference's 2001 spring academic teams have been announced (minus rowing that will be announced at a later date) by Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen. A total of 51 Cal athletes were honored, including 20 selections to the first and second teams. To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, be a significant contributor to the team and be at least a second-year competitor in the sport at the league school.
