BERKELEY - Teri McKeever, who led her women's swimming & diving team to the NCAA Championship over the weekend, women's basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb and women's water polo coach Richard Corso, as well as Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour, will be guests on the final Cal Coaches Corner of the season Monday. The program airs from 6-7 p.m. on NewsTalk 910 AM live from the Paragon at the Claremont Hotel, Club and Spa. McKeever's Bears outpointed runner-up Georgia to capture the program's second straight crown and third in the last four years. In the 2012 victory, junior Caitlin Leverenz was tabbed the NCAA Swimmer of the Meet after claiming a pair of individual crowns and helping the Bears to two relay victories. McKeever, who will guide the U.S. Olympic women's team this summer in London, earned NCAA Coach of the Meet recognition. Gottlieb has her women's basketball squad in the second round of the NCAA Tournament after an 84-74 victory over Iowa Sunday. The Bears (25-9) will next face top-seeded Notre Dame at 4 p.m. PT Tuesday on the Fighting Irish's home court. Corso guided the Cal women's water polo team to an NCAA runner-up finish last year and has the squad ranked fourth nationally this year. The Bears are 15-5 so far this season and have one home match remaining vs. UCLA on April 7. Barbour plans to highlight some of the Golden Bear accomplishments from the past year and look forward to the remainder of the spring seasons. In addition, she will discuss construction progress at Memorial Stadium and what fans can expect when they return to campus in the fall.
