BERKELEY - Cal's athletic department has been recognized as the "Innovator of the Year" by Paciolan, an industry-leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and sales automation solutions. The honor is part of Paciolan's "Heroes Awards," given annually to organizations demonstrating innovations and achievements in the industry. "We are delighted to be recognized by Paciolan as its `Innovator of the Year'," Cal Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour said. "Paciolan's tools have helped us develop strategies to connect with our fans, and we are excited to use Paciolan's new products to further reshape our sales, marketing and fundraising efforts. I appreciate the creativity and hard work of our talented and highly motivated employees. Our entire community is served well by their ingenuity." With the aid of Paciolan-powered technologies, Cal's athletic department implemented "The Gold Standard Sales and Service Initiative" to build relationships with fans and ensure top-notch customer service. Paciolan singled out Cal's athletic department as Innovator of the Year for implementing the most innovative and creative programs, transforming its business and establishing itself as an industry leader. Paciolan has over 500 clients across a variety of live entertainment platforms. Among the department's accomplishments were implementing a dynamic pricing model for football and men's basketball, the first university in the nation to do so. Cal also worked with the San Diego Padres to help build a professional-style ticket sales and marketing department. The department installed an outbound sales and customer service team, and successfully guided the re-opening of California Memorial Stadium to rave reviews. |
