A full lineup is set for this week's edition of the Cal Coaches Corner radio show. Cal football head coach Sonny Dykes will discuss last Wednesday's National Signing Day, while Golden Bear men's basketball head coach Mike Montgomery will share his thoughts on yesterday's upset victory over No. 7 Arizona in Tucson. Women's basketball head coach Lindsay Gottlieb will also be on the show as well as a men's basketball player and head coach David Esquer from the Cal baseball team.
The program airs live from 6-7 p.m. from La Val's Pizza at 1834 Euclid Avenue in Berkeley on Mondays. Fans can watch in person or listen on NewsTalk 910 AM or online at CalBears.com
Dykes will discuss the 25 players he and his coaching staff signed to national letters of intent last Wednesday during National Signing Day.
Montgomery led his Bears to a thrilling 77-69 win at No. 7 Arizona, the second straight week Cal has beaten a top-10 team. This week, the Bears return to Berkeley to welcome UCLA and USC to Haas Pavilion. Cal squares off against UCLA on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. Fans can watch live on ESPN, listen on NewsTalk 910 am or online.
Gottlieb and the sixth-ranked women's basketball team are currently enjoying a nine-game winning streak after victories over Arizona State and Arizona in Berkeley last weekend. The Bears head to Los Angeles this week to face UCLA and USC. Cal squares off against UCLA first on Friday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks or listened to online.
Esquer and the Cal baseball team starts the 2013 campaign by hosting Michigan at Evans Diamond from Feb. 15-17. First pitch for the season opener is set for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15.
The Cal Coaches Corner, hosted by Todd McKim, is broadcast each Monday from August through March and includes interviews and features with Golden Bear coaches, student-athletes and alumni from all 29 intercollegiate sports.
