Joining California basketball coaches Mike Montgomery and Lindsay Gottlieb on the Cal Coaches Corner radio show on Monday will be Golden Bear men's tennis head coach Peter Wright and Jeff Powers from the men's basketball team. The program airs live from 6-7 p.m. from La Val's Pizza at 1834 Euclid Avenue in Berkeley on Mondays. Fans can watch in person or listen on NewsTalk 910 AM or online at CalBears.com

Powers, who posted 12 minutes of playing time last Saturday at Stanford, will attempt to help the Bears get back in the win column this week when the Bears travel to Utah and Colorado. Cal faces Utah first on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 5:30 p.m. PT. You can watch the game on the Pac-12 Networks, listen on NewsTalk 910 am or online.

Gottlieb and the women's basketball team are currently enjoying a three-game winning streak after victories over USC and UCLA last weekend. The Bears continue their four-game homestand this week, welcoming Colorado and Utah to Haas Pavilion. Cal squares off against Colorado first on Friday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks or listened to online.

Wright and the Cal men's tennis team opens dual competition this week by hosting the ITA Kickoff Weekend at the Hellman Tennis Complex. The Bears will face Boise State on Friday, Jan. 25. Michigan and Santa Clara will meet in the other match in the four-team tournament. The consolation match and final will take place the next day.

The Cal Coaches Corner, hosted by Todd McKim, is broadcast each Monday from August through March and includes interviews and features with Golden Bear coaches, student-athletes and alumni from all 29 intercollegiate sports.
