Fresh off their huge win yesterday at Stanford, California women's basketball head coach Lindsay Gottlieb and junior guard Mikayla Lyles will be two of the guests tonight on the Cal Coaches Corner radio show. Joining Gottlieb and Lyles will be the Golden Bears' men's basketball head coach Mike Montgomery, as well as Emily Csikos from the Cal women's water polo team. The program airs live from 6-7 p.m. from La Val's Pizza at 1834 Euclid Avenue in Berkeley on Mondays. Fans can watch in person or listen on NewsTalk 910 AM or online at CalBears.com
Lyles scored 11 of her career-best-matching 14 points over the final 6:04 of the first half in No. 7 Cal's 67-55 victory yesterday over No. 5 Stanford at Maples Pavilion. The Bears now being a four-game homestand against USC on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. at Haas Pavilion. You can watch the game on the Pac-12 Networks or listen online.
Montgomery leads the Bears' men's team to Stanford to face the Cardinal on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net or listened to on NewsTalk 910 am or online.
Csikos and the Cal women's water polo team opens its 2013 campaign this weekend at Pacific, facing the Tigers for two matches on Saturday, Jan. 19. The games will start at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Cal Coaches Corner, hosted by Todd McKim, is broadcast each Monday from August through March and includes interviews and features with Golden Bear coaches, student-athletes and alumni from all 29 intercollegiate sports.
