2012 CAL BASKETBALL CAMPS FOR GIRLS

Gray-Lawson camps

Our camps provide instruction for players of all skill levels, as each camp is designed to emphasize individual improvement, fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and enjoyment.

Memorial Stadium

Haas Pavilion, the home of Golden Bear Basketball, will play host to all camp sessions. Campers will have a maximum coach to player ratio so that each camper will receive a good amount of individual attention.

Cal Athletic Camps

JAM FEST

SESSION I: Sunday, June 10
SESSION II: Sunday, June 24
AGE: Varsity, Junior Varsity, Middle School, AAU Teams (Female only)
PRICE: $475 per team
LOCATION: Haas Pavillion, RSF Field House, and RSF Blue Gym

The Jam Fest is a one day team camp that guarantees all teams at least 4 games. All high school, junior varsity, middle school and AAU teams are welcome. All teams must have a minimum of 8 players. The focus of this camp is to play great competition, and to have the ability to work as a team with your coach to prepare you for your upcoming season. There will be two leagues, an A and a B, to differentiate levels of ability. All games will be played by regulation high school rules, and certified officials will officiate all of the games. There will also be different clinics throughout the day, such as a post-guard college workout. This camp fills up quickly, spots are available on a first come-first serve basis. Payment MUST be submitted prior to the beginning of play. Please contact the Women's Basketball Office at (510) 642-9448 for registration information and to reserve your spot.

Cal Athletic Camps

INDIVIDUAL CAMP

SESSION I: Monday, June 25 - Thursday, June 28
AGE: 5-13, female only
PRICE: $300
LOCATION: Haas Pavillion
EXTENDED CARE: 4:00 - 5:00pm - $50 per week

Purpose: To develop both basic and advanced skills, such as shooting, passing, ball handling, and footwork. Instruction will be given through individual and group instruction with time allotted for practice, drills, and games. Daily competitive games will allow campers to implement the skills they have learned. The camp will also feature fundamental skill stations, games, and contests. Campers will be grouped by age and ability.

Commuter Participant: Daily Drop-Off/Pick Up: Drop-Off - 8:30-9:00am, Pick-Up - 4:00pm; Extended Care - 5:00pm (Haas Pavilion)
Last day of camp check-out: Thursday, June 28th at 4:00pm (Haas Pavilion)

ADVANCED SKILLS CAMP

SESSION I: Saturday, June 16 - Sunday, June 17
AGE: 12 - 18 (must be entering grades 9-12), female only
PRICE: $175 for commuters, $225 for overnight campers
LOCATION: Haas Pavillion

A unique skills camp with the focus of making you a better individual player for the next level. This camp is geared for the skilled and motivated athlete. This camp will be run by our Head Coach, Lindsay Gottlieb, her three Assistant Coaches, along with Cal players. Coach Gottlieb and her staff will help to improve your game by providing elite on-court training as well as film sessions and clinics to improve your "basketball IQ." This camp promises to be an amazing weekend of basketball and a tremendous oppportunity to raise your game to the next level.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

Due to University and NCAA Policies, we are not allowed to offer any transportation to and from camps. The airport closest to the Berkeley campus is Oakland International Airport; San Francisco International Airport is also within a reasonable distance.

There are a few shuttle services that offer transportation to and from Oakland & San Francisco International Airports. Reservations must be made at least a few days in advance, you can make reservations over the phone or online.
