TEAM CAMP and INDIVIDUAL CAMP What to bring to camp:
At each camp practice and competition, participants are required to wear the following:
- Helmet
- Shoulder Pads
- Tail Pad
- Thigh Pads
- Knee Pads
- Hip Pads
- Mouthpiece (available for purchase from Cal Training Staff)
- Appropriate footwear
(cleats and shoes for astroturf - e.g. basketball shoes, cross-training shoes)
KICKING CAMP What to bring to camp:
- Kicking Shoes
- Two clearly marked footballs
- One blank video tape
- Tees & Holders
- Notebook & Pencils
TEAM & INDIVIDUAL CAMPERS: Campers are highly encouraged to provide their own equipment; however. some gear will be available for rent at a charge of $60 per player. Contact the Cal Football Camp office at (510) 642-3857 for further details.
Youth Camp What to bring to camp:
- Suitable Football Attire (Shorts or Sweats)
- Shoes (Football shoes are NOT necessary, running/cross training shoes will do)
- Lunch & Snacks
- Sunscreen
Facilities:
All camp sessions are held at beautiful Memorial Stadium, Witter Field and Maxwell Family Field, located on the University of California, Berkeley campus.
Resident Camp:
Resident participants are housed in on-campus resident halls and take their meals in the dining halls.
Foothill Resident Complex is located on Hearst Street where it turns into Cyclotron Road, just east of Gayley Road. Parking is up the hill (past the dorms) on the right in the Foothill Parking Lot, above the Complex on Cyclotron Road.
All linens including towels, sheets, and pillows are provided. Some nights get cold, and participants are encouraged to bring long pants, a jacket and an extra blanket. Phone card suggested if calls home are long distance.
The airport closest to the Berkeley campus is Oakland International Airport. Call (510) 642-3857 for transportation information. There are also several shuttle services for transportation to and from the airport (e.g. M&M Shuttle 1-800-286-0303).
