For questions please call (800) GO BEARS or email reseat@berkeley.edu.

The initial release of information on this website is intended to inform fans regarding the seat selection process and 2012 pricing as a whole.

As the season approaches we will update this website and FAQ section with specific web-based seat selection details and more in early 2012. We encourage you to visit CaliforniaMemorialStadium.com frequently, or click here to ask a question.

Seat Selection

How will season tickets be allocated at California Memorial Stadium?

Cal Athletics will implement an internet-based seat-selection program to allow each patron to select his or her own seat location. Patrons will be divided into four groups: ESP Priority Window first, followed by 2011 football season-ticket holders and $1,200 donors to the Cal Athletic Department and above, 2010 football season-ticket holders and $100 donors to the Cal Athletic Department and above, and patrons with valid ticket deposits for new season tickets.

All patrons will receive selection times in priority-point order within the listed groups. Patrons may make their seat selection at any point after their appointed time, continuing until the end of the complete selection process. A video tutorial of the online program will be made available prior to seat selection.

top

What are priority-points and how do they affect my seat selection group and time?

The priority-point ranking system is used in all aspects of Cal Athletics to ensure a fair and equitable allocation of benefits, such as seat selection, tickets and parking. Each seat selection group will be ranked in priority-point order.

top

What is the priority point formula?

Cal Athletics adopted the following formula in August 2007 to determine priority points:

Priority Point Formula

Remaining Lifetime Giving* 1 per $200
Consecutive Years of Season Ticket Purchase** 1 per year per sport
Consecutive Years of Donating 5 per year
Alumni 5 (10 max w/ spouse)
Letterwinner 5 (10 max w/ spouse)

*Includes Irrevocable Planned Gifts and Prior Years Giving
**All Season Ticketed Sports: Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Volleyball

How much must I donate to receive priority-points?

Patrons that make an annual donation at the Cal Club ($100) or above will receive the 5 points for consecutive years of donating. Points awarded for donations do not calculate decimal points. A full $100 or $200 of giving must be reached before a full point is awarded. For questions regarding priority-points, please call the Cal office of Athletic Development at (510) 642-2427.

top

How do I find out my priority point total?

Your priority point total is available through the CalBears.com on-line box office. Simply log in to your on-line ticket account by clicking here, select the "My Account" section, and then click the "View My Priority Points" link.

top

How do I select my seats?

All patrons will be notified of their selection time in late February of 2012 through email and direct mail postcards. Patrons may log-in at any time prior to their selection time to view seating options. At their selection time, patrons must log into the seat selection website to make a selection. You may select any seats in any sections that are available at your selection time.

Because this process is a complete reseat of Memorial Stadium outside of the ESP sections, we cannot guarantee that previous season-ticket locations will be available at your selection time.

top

How can I improve my selection time?

Why did the Bear Backer benefit levels increase?

Cal Athletics is committed to providing every student-athlete with a world-class education and athletic experience during their time in Berkeley. To provide these opportunities it requires tremendous resources. Due to difficult budget constraints, Cal Athletics needs additional private support to continue to provide the necessary resources needed to maintain this world-class experience.
· Our levels typically change every three years, to account for increases in expenses and inflation. We have also adjusted the levels to be more in line with the University giving clubs (Charter Hill Society).
